Canvas is the University of Pennsylvania's learning management system. Many instructors use Canvas to share course materials (syllabus, readings, policies, etc.), collect assignments, administer quizzes and tests, and communicate via Canvas announcements, discussions, and messages.
You will be able to view your courses and a link to the Canvas Site purposed for the class in the "Schedule Details" portion of your Penn in Touch profile page.
If this is your first time using Canvas, the information below will help you get started.
Although many instructors at Penn use Canvas, not all elect to do so. It may also be that your instructor has not requested a Canvas site yet, or that they do not intend to have a site for this course. If there will be a Canvas site, your instructor or TA will tell you on the first day of class. If you have already had your first day and have not heard from your instructor or TA about a Canvas site for the course, please ask them if they will have one created for it.

1. Go to http://canvas.upenn.edu
2. Enter your PennKey and password.
1. Drag your mouse over the link for Courses on the User Dashboard.
2. Click on the link for a course site on the drop-down menu.
Penn Law has its own Canvas environment. If you are a Penn Law student, please go to the Penn Law Canvas login portal to access Canvas.
Setting up your profile includes updating your personal settings, picture, and contact information so that others can easily identify you. The short video below provides basic information to walk you through this process.
