Locating, Downloading, & Printing E-books

1.) From the Franklin homepage, select the Catalog tab, then use the filters on the left to limit to Online and Book.

2.) Search within one of Penn Libraries' many E-book Collections

3.) Check out Open Access options within collections such as:

*Downloading will vary based on the provider/ vendor

DOWNLOADING TO YOUR COMPUTER OR MOBILE DEVICE

  • If the e-book has DRM (Digital Right Management)-protected limitation you may need to download a software such as Adobe Digital Editions or Bluefire Reader to read the e-book on your computer, this software also has mobile apps available
  • Some vendors (such as EBSCO) may require you to setup a free account through their system

  • EBSCO will indicate print/save limitations under the Publisher section and their copy/paste limitations are listed under Permissions
  • Proquest will indicate their copy and print option under their Available for Online Reading section
