Help us design your new study space

What kind of study space would you add to the Atwood Library?

We'll soon add some study space by moving our scanners and photocopier nearer to the front desk.

What are your suggestions for optimizing the former copier room for studying?

copier room

Design points:

  • The room opens near the 'quiet' study section in the library, which we'd like to keep quiet.
  • The room is narrow (12' x 8.5')
  • Closet doors are at far end

Possibilities:

chair with tablet

  • 2-3 tables for individual or joint studying.
  • Rolling whiteboard
  • Bulletin board
  • Soft seating with built-in tables
  • Standing desk(s)
  • Your own suggestions....

Share your vision:

  • Mark up the room maps
  • Move around the temporary furniture - send pictures to vetlib at pobox.upenn.edu
  • Draw on the whiteboard and send pictures.
  • Write on the wall PostIts.
  • Talk with the staff or your academic liaison.
  • Let us know if you want a group meeting.
