Why learn Excel?

Excel is a popular and widely used spreadsheet program in many fields of education and work. Here at Penn, we see significant interest in using Excel for data analysis, simple statistics, charts and graphics, and daily tracking of work activities. Excel integrates well with Microsoft Access and can be connected with Google Doc Spreadsheets. Excel is powerful for cleaning data, bringing in data from websites and text files, and parsing information.

Penn Libraries offers assistance with Excel through workshops, small-group and individual consultations, online tutorials and access to tutorials. @ Penn

lynda logo provides over 77,000 training videos related to new technologies and software. You can access by reserving a license for one-day remote access. Some centers and schools at Penn also provide PennKey-based access from any location.
