Photoshop: Basics

Workshop Description

This workshop is a basic introduction to this powerful image editing software aimed at first-time users. Participants will learn to make a variety of basic but important adjustments to photographs using some of the many tools Photoshop makes available. These include fixing brightness and contrast, working with selections, painting and erasing, and correcting red-eye.

Learning Objectives
In this course you will learn:
  • What Photoshop is and where to get it
  • The basics of image resolution and file formats
  • How to use the Photoshop interface
  • How to paint and erase
  • How to use the basic selection tools
  • Fix brightness/contrast problems in an image
  • How to use the clone stamp tool
  • How to use the healing brush
  • How to fix red eye
