Creating a Project
To create a project in SciFinder-n, navigate to the top taskbar, where you can select the icon with four dots on it. From there, you can find "Projects" as your first option. Select that option.
Selecting Projects will bring you to a new page. From here, you can select "Create your first project."
Alternatively, if you already have one project, your option will be "Start New Project."
A new window will overlay onto the screen, and you can create a project name and description here.
When done, select "Save."
This will create the project and bring you back to the Project window.
After creating your first project, your Project window should look like the following.
Selecting any project will open that project. Currently, our project contains nothing, so it will look like the following.
Adding to a Project
You can add References and Substances to a Project.
You cannot add Reactions or Suppliers to a Project.
To add References to a project, you can employ two methods:
Individually add References by selecting the folder icon associated with each individual Reference.
Select all the References you want for your project, them add them with the folder icon in the top navigation.
The same can be done for Substances.
However, note that the navigation for individually adding Substances is somewhat different, as you must press the three dots on a substance before adding it to a Project.
