Exploring Reactions

Interpreting Your Results

  • Schemes that match your search will be listed in boxes, with matching structures highlighted in blue.
  • Individual reaction procedures that match each scheme in your results will be listed below the schemes. Selecting individual schemes can allow you to keep or remove selected results by using the checkbox on the left.
  • Furthermore, by default SciFinder-n does not show all reaction procedures that match the scheme in your reaction results. To see all reaction procedures that match a given scheme, select "View All Reaction Summaries."
  • A page in SciFinder-n for a reaction that produces valproic acid, with the options to remove results and expand results outlined in red.
  • By default, the search results are also shown sorted by Relevance. You can display the search results in other orders that may be preferable, such as Yield, as well.
  • The option to sort results in a reactions result in SciFinder-n. Yield is highlighted in blue.
  • Selecting any individual reaction allows you to see more information on the specifics of the procedures for the reaction, as well.
  • A page in SciFinder-n for a specific reaction on preparing 2-valproic acid.
