Penn Librarian Teaching Institute

What is the Penn Librarian Teaching Institute?

Teaching in the Collaborative ClassroomThe Penn Librarian Teaching Institute aims to improve the teaching practices of librarians through active dialogue, practice among peers, and the review of current literature in the learning sciences. The Institute is open to any and all librarians. This LibGuide will serve as a repository for all Teaching Institute slides, reading lists, and content collectively developed during the sessions.

In 2019, we will meet once a week for six weeks. The sessions will take place Mondays 10:30-12:00 in room 627. Participants can come to all the sessions or as many as interest and schedule allow.

Though they will be done in different teaching styles, each session will cover an introduction to the topic, current research, an example of the teaching approach specific to librarians, and hands-on applications.
