Saving Images

You can add image citations, as well as copies of the images, to Zotero!

To create an image entry you can:

Utilize the Zotero browser connector button while on a webpage containing the image you want to cite. Zotero will extract a copy of the image and the URL, though you will switch the item type to "Artwork" and fill in the correct metadata fields. At the moment, Zotero only extracts metadata information from Flickr and Wikimedia Commons.
Drag and drop an image saved to your desktop/device into Zotero, switch the item type to "Artwork" and fill in the appropriate metadata field.

Helpful Plug-Ins

Zotero Bookmarklet
If you are using a browser or a device that does not have a Zotero browser connector installed (a tablet, browsers such as Safari, etc.), then you can utilize the Bookmarklet plug-in to add citations to Zotero directly from a browser. Follow the instructions for whichever browser or device you are on.
ZotFile
ZotFile is a Zotero plugin that manages your attachments. It will automatically rename, move, and attach PDFs (or other files) to Zotero items, sync PDFs from your Zotero library to your (mobile) PDF reader (e.g. an iPad, Android tablet, etc.) and extract annotations, highlights, and notes from PDF files.
