Zotero Citation for Art and Design: Art and Design Citations

Saving Images

You can add image citations, as well as copies of the images, to Zotero!

To create an image entry you can:

  • Utilize the Zotero browser connector button while on a webpage containing the image you want to cite. Zotero will extract a copy of the image and the URL, though you will switch the item type to "Artwork" and fill in the correct metadata fields. At the moment, Zotero only extracts metadata information from Flickr and Wikimedia Commons.
  • Drag and drop an image saved to your desktop/device into Zotero, switch the item type to "Artwork" and fill in the appropriate metadata field.
