Dr. Mahmood Dashti

Research Associate, Shahid Beheshti Dental School

I am a dentist and researcher specializing in applying artificial intelligence and digital technologies in health and medicine. With four years of professional experience as a dentist, including two years on the frontline managing emergency and critical cases during the COVID-19 pandemic, I bring a unique blend of clinical and technical expertise. My contributions to the field include over 40 published articles and two international patents registered with the USPTO and WIPO PCT. Currently, I am a research associate at Shahid Beheshti Dental School, where my work focuses on integrating machine learning into dentistry. My experience extends to research and teaching methodologies, particularly in Large Language Models (LLMs) and Prompt Engineering. 

Dr. Ivy F. Lin

Assistant Professor, University of Washington School of Dentistry

Dr. Ivy F. Lin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oral Surgery and the Assistant Director of the General Practice Residency at University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSOD). She grew up in Montreal, Canada where she obtained her DMD with distinction from McGill University in 2017. She then moved to Seattle, WA to complete of a General Practice Residency at UWSOD. In 2022, she obtained a Master of Public Health at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where she focused her studies on climate change mitigation and health policy. Since then, she has been working on promoting sustainability and decreasing waste in dentistry through lectures, research and the creation of the Climate Action and Sustainability Team at UWSOD.
