Rules for adding to the timeline:
1. Do not change the headers of the spreadsheet.
2. Do not change the blue row of the spreadsheet (row 2), which alters the title slide, unless the class collaboratively decides how to change it.
3. Do not leave any empty rows in between rows with existing text. Don't worry about adding rows in chronological order; the timeline tool will sort that out.
4. Be consistent with your use of Group names (e.g. Historical Event; Author). Any capitalization or spacing inconsistencies will create duplicate lines on the timeline.
Access the different layers of the map by choosing "Content" on the left side, and clicking on the different checkboxes to see the historical boundary overlays. Don't worry - any changes you make to the map settings are not permanent and will not affect others' view.
You can alter the basemap by choosing "Basemap" on the left side.
You can change the transparency of each layered map by clicking on the three blue dots which appear after hovering over the title of any given layer.
