Suggested Reading on Civic Engagement: Description

 For New Student Orientation this year, we are seeking suggestions for book titles that tie into the Penn Reading Project and academic theme, the Year of Civic Engagement. We have created a Google form to collect ideas from staff, faculty and students. We are going to start with staff suggestions and then work with the Webunit to create a visualization that we can have on "display" for New Student days (via the Libraries' NSO libguide). During new student orientation, we will be collecting suggestions from students--and then ultimately adding them to the visualization. We also plan to link to catalog records, and share recommendations for titles we don't own with bibliographers. We are hoping that this will be one way to connect students with Libraries staff and the catalog.

Please submit your suggestions by filling out the submission form below. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, August 2 so that we have time to work out the visualization.
