Foods that Qualify

*Donations may be dropped off whenever the library is open. No perishables, please.

Foods to Donate!

  • Snack bag size almonds, walnuts, cashews, and pistachios  
  • Six-pack small boxes of raisins 
  • Six-pack cups of unsweetened applesauce 
  • Cans of low sodium or no salt added tomatoes or tomato sauce 
  • Cans of low sodium or no salt added beans (black, red, garbanzo, cannellini, lentils, etc.)
  • Cans of low sodium or no salt added vegetables
  • Cans of fruit in either 100% juice or no sugar added (no artificial sweeteners)
  • Natural Peanut Butter w/o added sugar or hydrogenated oils
  • Cereal: Bran Flakes, Shredded Wheat, Cheerios; Less than 5g added sugar per serving
  • Triscuit crackers or other crackers with whole grain as the 1st ingredient
  • Plain instant oatmeal or instant grits boxes with individual packs
  • Brown RiceLong Grain Basmati or Jasmine Rice
  • Quinoa, Farro, Millet, Steel-cut oats, or other whole grains
  • Boxes of whole wheat pasta, chickpea or lentil pasta
  • Soft corn or whole wheat tortillas
  • 32 ounce shelf-stable soy, almond, oat or coconut milk cartons
  • Tuna, salmon, and/or chicken in ready-to-eat pouches
  • Olive, grapeseed, avocado, or canola oil for cooking
  • Mrs’ Dash salt-free seasoning blends
  • Low sodium chicken or vegetable stock
  • Manual can openers
