Fisher Fine Arts Library Resources for...

Borrowing

Undergraduates can borrow circulating books for 28-day periods. You may check out as many books as you need, but please be mindful of others and return books when you no longer need them. At the end of 28 days, you may renew any book as long as another patron has not placed a hold on it. You can monitor your library account by clicking on the Login button, at the upper right of the Penn Libraries page.

Journals do not circulate from Fisher, and some books are also designated as non-circulating. Please consult the item's record in Franklin to check its availability and if it circulates.

Titles that are checked out or non-circulating can be requested from other schools through Penn's participation in BorrowDirect and E-ZBorrow. More information at the Resource Sharing Guide, https://franklin.library.upenn.edu/forms/resourcesharing

Fines

  • Reserve fines are $1/hour
  • Recall, video, and sound recording fines are $1/day
  • Laptop fines are $.25/minute
  • BorrowDirect and E-ZBorrow fines are $1/day
  • Lost item processing is $10/item
  • Lost item replacement for Fisher books: $150 plus $10 billing fee. Items more than 28 days overdue are considered Lost.

PennCard

Your PennCard is your library card and entitles you to borrow books from all the Penn libraries. Most PennCard holders are automatically registered for borrowing and database searching. If you are unable to access library resources using your current PennCard, please go to the Van Pelt Library circulation desk to register.

You will need your PennCard to enter libraries, check out books, print or photocopy, and to log on to many library resources. If your PennCard is lost, stolen or damaged, immediately inform the PennCard Center and replace it as soon as possible.
