Workshop Materials

Google Sites provides a free and easy way to create and share Web pages. This session gives an overview to help you get started.

Introduction

Google Sites is a free tool available as part of the Google suite of apps. If you already have a Gmail account, you are ready to start building in Google Sites.

Why use Google Sites?

  • It's free!
  • It works well with other Google Apps, like Calendars and Docs. If you are already using these tools, you can easily embed existing content into your site.
  • The easy-to-use visual editor lets you see your changes right in the page as you make them. A simple HTML editor allows for fine-grained control over your page.
  • Many templates and themes are available to customize your site.
