Basic Advice

  • Limit the amount of words, synthesize key points

  • Avoid clutter; no need to fill every space

  • Use a font size that can be read easily

  • Break up blocks of text with relevant images and diagrams

  • Emphasize important points with special font (ie bold) but avoid too many special fonts. Visit https://www.usability.gov/ for more help

  • Use meaningful subheadings

  • Look for templates that will save time for layouts
