This site tracks trends in the use and output of key library services. The Libraries will adapt and expand these dashboards as new data sources become available and as services change to meet new demands of the Penn community

For year-over-year comparisons in 2022, 2019 will remain the control year through August as it is the most recent "typical" year for the provision of library services. Beginning in September, the comparison will be 2022/2021, since the Libraries reopened in fall 2021.

Canvas - this tab shows an overview of Canvas usage over the semester and daily detail, as well as overview and detailed data about the number of sites created this semester, and help ticket information.
Ares/Reserves - This tab focuses on our electronic reserves - it features data for total items posted to Ares and items posted to Ares by document type (input measures) as well as overview and detail data for Ares traffic from Canvas and downloads (delivery measures)
Collection Usage - this tab notes the circulation of Physical items from the Libraries, usage of electronic materials, and interlibrary loan.
Tech Center Tickets - The Tech Center, collaboratively managed by the Penn Libraries and Information Systems and Computing, provides general IT support services for students at the University. This 24x7 services provides help with hardware, software, and networking issues and can assist with the use of Penn’s centrally provided IT services. During the COVID-19 related shutdown, all services are being provided remotely.
Gate Counts - This tab tracks gate counts for the Libraries for which we have card swipe data: Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, Fisher Fine Arts Library, and Holman Biotech Commons (Holman Biotech Commons availability date TBD)
