DESCRIPTION AND COVERAGE

The Penn Library holds microform reproductions of decennial census schedules for Philadelphia only. For earlier censuses (1850 and before), microform schedules for both Philadelphia City and Philadelphia County (which includes West Philadelphia and its political predecessors) are held. Philadelphia census schedules for 1900 are currently in process and not available for library use.
