Legislation, the Congressional Record, and Committee Reports, searchable by bill or law number, title, and keyword. Covers the 93rd Congress (1973- 74) to present day. Also includes information on members of Congress.
ProQuest Legislative Insight [Penn only]
Includes only bills enacted into law, with the exception of the current Congress. Includes legislative histories with links to full text of relevant documents. You can search by keyword or law number, or do a guided search.

ProQuest Congressional
Includes pending bills, laws, legislative histories, committee reports and documents, selected Congressional hearings and committee prints, and biographical data about members of Congress.

To find Congressional documents related to a given law, choose the Search by Number tab.
Find publications related to a bill or law.
Use the Public Law number.
ProQuest Congressional has a helpful tutorial section called "How Do I?" under a link in the upper right-hand corner of the database.

FDSys (U.S. Government Printing Office) [freely available website]
Legislative resources and information from the Government Printing Office (GPO). An alternate way to find full-text of public laws, bills and select hearings and reports. Use the facets on the left to narrow your results.
Hein Online [Penn only]
Legal research database containing full-text documents from (among others) the U.S. Federal Legislative History Library, law journals, and Supreme Court Documents.
GovTrack [freely available website]
Freely available website maintained by Civic Impulse, LLC. Includes past and pending federal and state legislation. Can also be used to track particular legislators and issues.

Factiva
Includes news sources such as the New York Times (1980- ), the Washington Post (1984- ), the Philadelphia Inquirer (1994- ), and the Wall Street Journal (1979- ). Coverage begins for most publications in the 1980's or early 1990's.

Lexis Nexis Academic
Major publications, primarily from the United States, with date ranges from the 1980's to present.

Newsbank Access World News
Searchable fulltext of international and U.S. national, regional, and local newspapers. Coverage varies by paper but starts in the 1970's or later and continues through current issues.
