OAS: Organization of American States: MOAS

About the MOAS Program

Since 1980, the OAS annually organizes the Model Organization of American States for university students in Washington, D.C. A high school version of the program started two years later and since 2000, models are also held in other member states of the OAS. An overview of the history of MOAS can be found here.

WMOAS for Universities

In 2018, the Washington Model Organization of American States will be held from March 26 to March 30 at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Tips for Draft Resolutions

The Manual for OAS Proofreaders though not originally intended for MOAS use, provides samples and examples of multiple OAS documents, including resolutions and declarations for both the General Assembly and the Permanent Council, in all four official languages. Moreover, it provides tables of all the capitalization rules of the OAS that might prove useful.
