About Dedoose

Dedoose is a cloud-based application that supports qualitative and mixed methods analysis of textual and audiovisual data sources.

Dedoose is not freely available through the libraries, but it offers a relatively low-cost monthly subscription.

You can use it to:

  • Organize and code multiple data sources in one project file.
  • Assign attributes to data and compare them.
  • Interpret, query, and visualize data.
  • Work as a team on projects

To learn more about Dedoose, email the Research Data & Digital Scholarship department.

For general information about Qualitative Data Software and Methods, please see our research guide for Qualitative Data Analysis.
