Artificial Intelligence in Dentistry: Overview - Home

Resources for expanding awareness on the development of medical AI, specifically highlighting its uses in oral health research and care, while noting the benefits and challenges that arise from furthering AI usage.

Thought in Nature vs Thought in Machine

This figure shows the process of AI systems mimicking the human thought-process through its learned behaviors and mapping procedures. Ideally, a successful system will generate the same accurate results possible from human thought and reasoning, but in a shorter amount of time, if not an even greater attention to detail.

Artificial Intelligence in Medicine (AIM) & Ethics: Safety, Privacy, and Bias

In this podcast interview, discussion features on providing a traced overview of safety and privacy concerns with medical AI. While this work can be used for good, much research and training into AI programs still must occur, and time is needed to bring full trust to patients, who also have the right to all information about how they may be affected by medical AI. The entire multi-episode interview can be found on The Authority File from August 2022.

Divining The Future of Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Decision Support
