Industry ratios.

Industry surveys include a section on how to analyze a company in that industry (e.g. how to analyze a pharmaceutical company).

Use the Similar Companies or Public Comps tabs from a company profile to identify competitors.

From a company's profile, select Peer Analysis-->Quick Comps. To find comps using the criteria of your choice, select Screening-->Companies.

Use the RV (relative value) command to pull up a list of comps. You can change comp sets easily by using Bloomberg's own comp set or using the different industry classification systems available.

Use the Companies/Markets tab, then search for your company. The Peer Comparison section of the Company Snapshot provides a list of competitors.

Find deals by typing MA and pressing GO.

Go to Screening, then Transactions to search for transactions on a wide range of variables.

Find deals related to a particular company by selecting Company Deals from the Event menu from its profile..To screen for deals, select Search Tools-->M&A.
