A note about deal and licensing information
Detailed information about licensing terms is very difficult to find. While public companies may have to report this information to the SEC if the deal is material, they can request confidential treatment of the terms, so information will often be redacted from filings.
Deals & Licensing
Use BI PHRMG 1096 to search for licensing deals by company or drug. Focuses on large companies. Available at terminals 7A (all Penn users), and the Yablon Financial Resources Lab (Wharton users only) in Lippincott Library. Two machines are also available on the Forum level of JMHH.
SDC Platinum (local use only)
Available in Lippincott Library only. Includes information on strategic alliances and joint ventures, often including general deal terms.
GlobalData Deals & Alliances reports, are available here. Select Screening & Analysis--> Research --> Research Search. Search for GlobalData as a contributor and look for deals in the title to locate these reports. For M&A activity, go to Screening & Analysis-->Deals & League Tables-->M&A. This resource only works with Internet Explorer.
