It is a service of the National Library of Medicine (NLM), the world's largest medical library, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Unraveling Misinformation: Evaluating Health Websites & Apps: Aman Kaur, the Health Literacy Librarian at the University of Pennsylvania Leon Levy Dental Medicine Library, created and presented these slides describing the Genetic Alliance's "Trust It or Trash It?" model for evaluating online health information at an in-person workshop the Blackwell Regional Library of West Philadelphia on Thursday March 7, 2024.

PolitiFact: Health Check: A fact checking website run by a group of independent journalists and editors associated with the non-profit Poynter Media Institute.

University of California San Francisco (UCSF): COVID-19 Face Check: Website created by a group of medical students from the UCSF with the goal of creating a reliable and easy-to-understand information source about corona virus.
