Anatomage at Holman Biotech Commons

Anatomage Table

A person demonstrating something on the Anatomage Table

Located in the Holman Biotech Commons, the Anatomage Table provides a detailed look at real anatomy in 3D. Users can visualize anatomy exactly as they would on a fresh cadaver. Individual structures are reconstructed accurately in 3D, resulting in an unprecedented level of lifelike virtual anatomy.

The Table's interactive touchscreen allows for an immersive, hands on approach to learning anatomy and physiology. With controls similar to an iPad or tablet, learning to use the table is quick and simple.

With the Anatomage Table, users can:

  • Virtually dissect full-scale images of human and animal cadavers
  • Rotate, zoom in on, and toggle on or off layers to view specific anatomical structures
  • Simulate the flow of blood towards or away from the heart by selecting any artery or vein; selected pathways can then be annotated or colorized
  • Explore over 1,000 of real medical cases in the case library
  • Examine histology scans of microscopic tissue structures and cell-specific biomarkers, featuring both healthy and abnormal clinical cases
  • Review photorealstic prosections that highlight images from various regions of human anatomy, each prosection image includes detailed annotations
  • Take interactive quizzes
  • Record interactive lectures on the table that can be reviewed later by students
