Several classes at Penn have begun to implement digital publishing in assignments and final class projects. Digital publishing platforms make it possible for students to exercise creativity alongside analysis of textual or multimodal (video, audio, visual) resources). They also create an opportunity for students to learn about publishing considerations like peer review, copyright, and writing for public audiences, as well as acquire experience in digital scholarship.
To brainstorm or propose a digital publication project for a Penn course, please contact the Contemporary Publishing Fellow to discuss scope, timing, and options, and to receive support scaffolding digital skills into a syllabus.
