This list from the American Film Institute (AFI) is a list of the greatest 100 American films of all time. This is the 10th Anniversary list, which appeared 10 years after the AFI released an original list in 1997, and this list appeared as part of an AFI program that was broadcast on CBS in 2007.
Please note that streaming is restricted to current Penn students, faculty, and staff. This list from the British Film Institute is one of the most respected lists of the greatest films of all time. Because of tied scores, this Top 50 is actually a list of 51 films.
