Excel for Business Guide

1. Activate your PennO365 account.
2. Install Office 365 ProPlus (includes Excel).

1. Confirm your eligibility:
   • Full-time Penn faculty, staff and students at participating Schools and Centers are eligible for a PennO365 account.
   • At this time, the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) is not participating.
   • Penn Law students, faculty, and staff should download Office ProPlus from Penn Law's Office 365 site.
2. Activate your PennO365 account:
   1. Visit the Microsoft online portal.
   2. Log in.
      • Username takes the form YourPennKey@upenn.edu.
      • Password is your PennKey password.
   3. Select Enter to finish activation. (At this point, you can ignore any setup messages and close your browser; you won't interrupt the process.)

1. Check your device for Microsoft Office or Excel.
   If your device has a version of Microsoft Office or Excel already, choose what to do:
   • Skip these steps and use your existing installation.
   • Uninstall your Microsoft Office then install Penn's Office 365 ProPlus.
   • Install Penn's Office 365 ProPlus alongside your earlier version of Office.
2. Activate your Penn0365 account (if you haven't already).
3. Visit the Microsoft online portal.
4. Log in (if you haven't already).
   • Username takes the form YourPennKey@upenn.edu.
   • Password is your PennKey password.
5. Next to Install Office on your PC/Mac, choose Install Now.
6. Save the install file to your device. (Windows will use a .exe file; Mac will use .pkg).
7. Launch (e.g.: double-click) the install file.
8. Open Excel and enter your PennO365 username and password.
