Library services and resources for Penn Museum staff: Room Reservations at Penn Libraries

Overview

Penn Libraries offers a number of rooms with conference tables, digital screens, even recording equipment. To explore the possibilities, check out this page.

To locate and reserve an available room in a Penn Libraries location, including the Museum Library's small seminar rooms (A445 and A446), go to the Reservations page. Be aware that the web interface for room reservations is being revised in early June 2024. Therefore, what you see and what steps take for a reservation might appear differently than they did for previous reservations. If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact muselib@pobox.upenn.edu or see Ainsley, Jason, or Deb in the Museum Library.

Be aware that the managing library may need to reject or adjust your requested reservation, so watch for approval or other notices by e-mail.

Penn Museum staff members can reserve room A311 in order to use the lab's iMac with headphone sets and special software for editing audio, video, and image files. Be aware that, as it is intended as a media lab for use by faculty, students, and staff who know the technologies already, this room does not appear on the Penn Libraries' website to the general public as a reservable space and it is not set up as a meeting room; people who need assistance or training with the technology are encouraged to use the equipment and staff at the Vitale Digital Media Lab instead. For more information about media lab spaces and equipment, see the tab for Equipment and Resources for 3D, Media, and Design Projects.
