Wharton Full-time MBAs - Business Research Overview

Provides an overview of key resources and services from the Lippincott Library of the Wharton School.

Overview

Welcome to the Wharton MBA Business Research Overview guide, focusing on the most frequently used resources available through the Lippincott Library. Lippincott is the library of the Wharton School, with a primary focus on business information. While you may not be spending much time at the physical library, the vast majority of our resources are available electronically from anywhere, including news sources like the Wall Street Journal, academic journals like Journal of Marketing, extensive financial data, market research, analyst reports and more.

Do I need a special credential to access library resources?

The only credential you need is your PennKey ID and password. There are some resources that require the creation of a personal profile after logging in using your PennKey.

Beginning Your Research

Begin your research on the Lippincott Library homepage:

  • Enter keywords in the Business FAQ search box to find resources that cover a particular topic (company profiles, company financials, etc.)
  • Use Research Guides to explore resources for different industries and geographic areas.
  • Find books, journals and other material in our Franklin catalog.

Appropriate Use

Library databases are licensed for academic use. Many of them are commercial products that the library receives at educational rates.

Use them in support of your academic and coursework, but please do not use them for your work or business.

Please see the Use Policy on "Penn Only" Electronic Resources for more details.
