Veterinary Anatomy Study Resources: Anatomage Virtual Anatomy Table

Anatomage

Anatomage is an anatomy learning resource that includes a virtual dissection table, it offers an unprecedented learning experience for those who would like to interact with real animal cadavers in a chemical-free, technologically inspired space.  Besides Human Anatomy files, it includes a fully segmented, detailed, and dissectible dog, cat, frog, and dozens of other animal scans. Instructors and clinicians can upload their own DICOM files.

  • Anatomage YouTube - Various tutorials that show the table's capabilities. 
  • Anatomage Table Overview - See the Anatomage table in action in this overview from the University of Michigan
  • Anatomage Online Training - This is an hour-long tutorial that shows how to use the table. 
  • Basic Functions on Male Abdomen - PDF that shows how easy it is to highlight different organs to make them stand out.
  • Volume Rendering - This guide shows the different ways the table can render human anatomy. Hard tissue, soft tissue, X-ray, etc. 
  • Table Activities - Anatomage already has activities (instructor guides, student guides-quizzes and handouts, and answer keys)
