Self-service scancenters: How to Scan

To scan to USB:

  1. Touch the screen where it says, “Touch here to begin
  2. On the Select a Destination screen, Touch the part of the screen that says, “USB
  3. Insert your USB drive
  4. Wait for the USB drive to be detected
  5. Select scan options, e.g. Color, black and white, PDF, Word
  6. When ready, touch the “NEXT” button
  7. Place your paper/book material onto the glass of the flatbed scanner
  8. Touch the SCAN button on the screen
  9. You could view and edit scan, and crop the scanned content
  10. For multiple pages, touch the “SCAN” button
  11. When done, touch NEXT
  12. On the “Transfer Documents to USB Storage” screen, ensure your USB storage device is showing.
  13. Name the file
  14. Touch “NEXT
  15. When done, remove your USB drive
  16. If not done, choose, “Scan More Documents” and repeat starting at step 7, otherwise, touch “I’m Done

To Scan to Email:

  1. Touch the screen where it says, “Touch here to begin
  2. On the Select a Destination screen, Touch the part of the screen that says, “EMAIL
  3. Select scan options, e.g. Color, black and white, PDF, Word
  4. When ready, touch the “NEXT” button
  5. Place your paper/book material onto the glass of the flatbed scanner
  6. Touch the SCAN button on the screen
  7. You could view and edit scan, and crop the scanned content
  8. For multiple pages, touch the “SCAN” button
  9. When done, touch NEXT
  10. On the “Transfer Documents to Email” screen, enter the recipient’s email address
  11. Tab down to enter the subject, and enter a short message (if necessary)
  12. Touch “NEXT
  13. If not done, choose, “Scan More Documents” and repeat starting at step 5, otherwise, touch “I’m Done
