    • Go back to the Zotero application
    • Check the folder
    • If pdfs were part of the database collection, you will be able to open the pdf from Zotero

A few additional details

If Zotero brings a PDF into your Zotero library along with the citation, click on the PDF icon to read the PDF in the Zotero application.

  • You can take notes
  • add sticky icons
  • and highlight

 Zotero has a Word integration

  • click on the reference tab in MS WORD, look for the Zotero icon, follow steps to add in-text citations (as your subject librarian for assistance!)
  • Automatically create bibliography/reference list/works cited from the in-text citations

Some schools do not allow the add-ins in Word. Before choosing your platform, determine which application will readily integrate with Word.

You can manually add citations and create bibliographies with Word.
