Finding file locations

Attending an upcoming workshop and need help finding files on your computer? Check out our guide for both Mac and Windows users.

Finding file locations

  1. Click the Finder icon in the Dock to access your files.  

  1. Once in your Finder, use the options on the left-hand side to find your document. If you downloaded an item, it should appear in the Downloads section. Double-click your item to open it.  

  1. Open the files application on your computer. 

  1. Use the Quick Access options on the left-side of the screen to find your document. If you downloaded a file, it will most likely show up in the Downloads section. You may also use the search option to search for the name of your file.   

  2. Once you have found the desired file, double-click to open it.
