Welcome to the Wharton MBA for Executives Business Research Overview guide. This brief introduction will familiarize you with the most frequently used resources available through the Lippincott Library. Lippincott is the library of the Wharton School, with a primary focus on business information. While you won’t be spending time at the physical library, the vast majority of our resources are available electronically from anywhere, including news sources like the Wall Street Journal, academic journals like Journal of Marketing, extensive financial data, market research and more.

Beginning Your Research

Begin your Research on the Lippincott Library homepage:

  • Frequently used resources are listed at the top of the page under Business Databases.
  • Enter keywords in the Business FAQ search box to find resources that cover a particular topic (company profiles, company financials, etc.)
  • Use the Research Guides to explore resources for different industries and geographic areas.
  • Use the Course Guides to explore resources compiled for specific courses.
  • Find books, articles and databases in our Franklin catalog.

How do I remotely access resources? What if I get an error message?

The only credential you need is your PennKey ID and password. However, a corporate firewall may block access through the proxy which identifies you as being part of the Penn community. Here are some steps to assist if you are seeing an error message. Please contact us if you need troubleshooting assistance.
