Getting to Philadelphia
By Air
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is serviced by most major airlines and is a hub for US Airways.
To get from the airport to the University of Pennsylvania campus, located in the University City neighborhood, attendees have several options:
- Shuttle: Lady Liberty Shuttle serves the University City area and all hotels for $10/person. Reservations are not required and shuttles depart the airport approximately every 10-15 minutes. Call (215) 724-8888 or visit their website for more information. Approximate travel time is 20-30 minutes.
- Rail: The SEPTA Regional Rail Airport Line service departs all airport terminals once every 30 minutes. The one-way fare to the University City station (close to the Penn campus, and about 15 minutes' walk from the Sheraton Hotel and 20 minutes' walk from the Drexel dormitories), is $7.00/person payable in cash on board the train. Approximate travel time is 25 minutes. The schedule for the R1 train (weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays all have separate schedules) is available online.
- Taxi: Cabs are available from the roadway outside baggage claim areas and charge a flat rate of $28.50/trip to downtown (an area which encompasses Penn's campus, the Sheraton University City Hotel, Club Quarters, and the Drexel University dormitories, but NOT Homewood Suites). Approximate travel time is 20-30 minutes.

By Train
Several Amtrak routes stop at Philadelphia's 30th Street Station; the Routes tab on this page has a complete listing.
30th Street Station, located at 2955 Market Street, is about a 15 minute walk or a short cab ride away from the campus of the University of Pennsylvania and from Drexel University dormitory housing. To get to the Sheraton University City Hotel, it would be best to take a cab or walk to Walnut Street and take the #21 bus ($2.00 cash fare, exact change only). To get to the Homewood Suites hotel (west of the station), or Club Quarters (east of the station), take the Market-Frankford subway line (blue line). Maps for this short commute will be uploaded to this page shortly. Fare is $2.00 exact change (or $2.90 for two tokens) and trains come regularly every 5 minutes or so.
By Bus
BoltBus and Megabus both offer reasonably priced transportation for travelers coming from nearby cities including Boston, New York, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Albany, and Washington, D.C. Both bus lines stop at 30th & Market Streets, near the dormitory accommodations and Amtrak's 30th Street Station.
Greyhound Bus Lines provides service to Philadelphia. The bus depot is located at 1001 Filbert Street, so to get to the University of Pennsylvania campus, in University City. For reservations, visit Greyhound's website.By Car

Most major car rental companies have locations in Philadelphia. Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, and National have locations at Amtrak's 30th Street Station, near the dormitory accommodations. A list of car rental companies available at the airport is provided here.
