Exhibitions at Penn Libraries

Guidelines

Small displays are considered any exhibits that do not need to go through the formal workflow. The Executive Committee will determine whether or not your project can bypass the official workflow. You are still required to use the proposal form, found here.

  • Any and all library assets you plan to display must be approved by Conservation prior to installation.
  • Any student work or outside Penn Libraries materials (ex: another Penn entity) can be displayed without review from Conservation and at the discretion of the Departmental Head. If you have a question regarding whether or not the materials you are working with need to be reviewed by Conservation, please contact Brittany Merriam (brime@upenn.edu) or Sarah Reidell (sreidell@upenn.edu).
  • Tombstones, exhibit text, and graphics can be produced in-house or sent out to print. If you need assistance with graphic production, please note that in your proposal.
