Medical Entrepreneurship: Legal Resources

Founded in 1981 with Wharton, Penn Law’s Entrepreneurship Legal Clinic (ELC) provides pro bono transactional legal services to Philadelphia area entrepreneurs and businesses.

The IPC provides pro bono transactional patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret services to individuals, non-profit and for-profit clients in technology and the arts. The Clinic is groundbreaking in establishing a unique relationship with The Penn Center for Innovation (“PCI”) and tapping into the resources of Penn’s strong network of professional schools (including the Schools of Engineering, Medicine, Business [Wharton], Arts and Sciences, and other Penn departments and programs).

The Entrepreneurial Law Clinic provides legal advice for Philadelphia start-ups by matching students with a select number of innovative start-up company clients.

A clinical law program that provides pro bono legal representation to entrepreneurs, small businesses, and social ventures.

Ballard Academy for Student Entrepreneurs (BASE), offers participants practical legal advice for developing a new venture, a value-added team of experienced and accessible lawyers, and an education on how to avoid mistakes and how to solve problems when they arise.

COpilot provides legal resources to establish your growing business, including downloadable templates, such as a Certificate of Incorporation for Delaware.

Through the firm’s RAMP initiative, clients are able to take advantage of key resources, access to capital and mentoring as they navigate the path from idea to reality.
