Marketing and Promoting Research Tips

Tips for Pre-Publication

  • Clear/descriptive title and relevant keywords/phrases
  • Three or four of these keywords should appear in the abstract

Tips for Peri/Post Publication

  • Create a Researcher ID, such as ORCiD, Scopus AuthorID, etc.  
  • Add links to new articles in your email signature, LinkedIn, and faculty page

Social Media Presence Tips

  • Twitter
    • Use hashtags
    • Retweet and tweet
    • advertise the link to your article
    • share blog posts (see below) in tweets
  • Blogs
    • Write a blog post and include a link to your article
    • Follow other blogs, and comment on their posts
