See the Libraries' COVID-19 page for the latest updates on library services.
Self-renewals have been turned off during the Penn Libraries closure. Instead, we are proactively renewing books as the University's re-opening plans evolve. At this time, books for those who graduated in May or August, or who plan to graduate in December, should be renewed through 11/25/2020. Books for continuing students, and for others who are still working at Penn, should be renewed through 1/12/2021. If you have concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us via Chat during live hours, 9 - 5, Monday - Friday.
How do renewals work?
You may renew your library books online through your library account unless the book has been recalled or has become long overdue (lost). You may also bring books in person to the library to renew them.
What are the renewal limits?
There are no renewal limits for Penn faculty, staff and students. Courtesy borrowers may renew books for up to one year (12 renewals).
