Peer Reviewed Limits

Many library database interfaces provide a check box to limit the search results to scholarly or peer-reviewed articles.

Franklin Articles+ has a Peer reviewed limit on the left.

ProQuest  --  look for Peer reviewed button      

EBSCO  --    look for  Peer reviewed button  

Journal Citation Reports

Journal Citation Reports analyzes journal citation patterns to determine indicators including total cites, journal impact factor, impact factor without self cites, 5 year impact factor, citable items, cited half-life, citing half-life, and Article Influence Score for  journals in the sciences and the social sciences.  Options include

Browse / Search by Journal

indicators include: journal impact factor, journal impact factor contributing items, cited half life, journal relationships, distribution by country, contributions by organization, and many key indicators.

Browse by Category:

  1. On the left panel, choose Edition:  SSCI (Social Science Citation Index). This choice determines what subject categories that display.
  2. Click Select Categories and choose one or more categories.
  3. Select JCR year (1997-2019)
  4. Click Submit at bottom left.
  5. Initial display data includes total cites, journal impact factors.  Choose Customized Indicators to select other indicators.
